HARVEY WARE
Lion Harvey Ware has been a member of the
Warner Robins Lions Club since 1988.
Lion Tex Hinton (deceased) was his sponsor
and very good friend. As a Lion for 21 years in
the Warner Robins Club, he has been President
three times, been on the board of directors for
19 years, he has been tail twister twice,
membership chair five times and District Zone
Chair once.
Lion Harvey attended the Southeastern Lions
Leadership Institute in April 2006.
Lion Harvey attended Deshler High School in the birth place of Helen
Keller Tuscumbia, Alabama
In 1956 he joined the United States Air Force, where he spent the next
20 years and retired in February 1976. Upon retirement from the
military, he was hired on as a manager by the Army Air Force Exchange
Service, where he again retired in 1998.
While in the military Lion Harvey met his wife of 50 years Lucille Ann
Dalesio Ware. Together they have three children. Harvey Jr. deceased,
Danny in Byron and Cheryl in Tampa, Florida. While stationed at Robins
AFB, Lou and Harvey were foster parents for over twenty six children in
Houston County. Lion Harvey likes to tell you his children have lived
from Europe to all over the USA.
Lion Harvey's hobbies are his Lions Club, his church, fishing and his
wood working shop behind his home. He has been a judge for numerous car
shows in the local area. He is on the board for the annual wings and
wheels car show held at Robins AFB each year.
Professionally he has served his country in the
military, served his community as a foster parent, been both a Cub Scout
Leader and Boy Scout Leader. Lion Harvey has always put others before
himself, and is looking forward to serving Lionism in this new capacity
for his club, community, district and state.
