LOCAL LIONS CLUB PROVIDE LUNCH FOR CANCER PATIENTS:

12 members of the North Decatur Lions Club did a service project on February 9, 2008 at the Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society near the Emory Univ. campus.  This is a facility that house adult cancer patients and their caretakers free of charge during the time they are in Atlanta for treatment.  The participants come from different parts of the country.  North Decatur did a Potato Bar lunch with all the trimmings, green salad, fruit bowl, pasta salad, beverages, fresh fruit and desserts.  We served about 25 people from 11:00 am to 2:30 p.m.  We had a lot of fun.  Hope Lodge is a beautiful and comfortable facility.
